Tom Warren DesignArchitecturePilotInteriors
Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Thomas engages with landscape and geometric form to create high-end residential spaces. Rooted in a belief that simplicity can evoke wonder, Thomas’s design philosophy brings together pragmatism and poetry. His projects favour tactile materials, natural light, and low maintenance construction, resulting in spaces that feel at once grounded and uplifting.
In 2024, Thomas was awarded the RIBA Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship for his project Africa 360°, a research initiative investigating off-grid infrastructure across Southern Africa. The project examines how building-scale systems, solar power, water harvesting, and waste recycling might replace traditional city scale infrastructure, offering a more adaptable model for future settlements.
